Information for Student Web Publishers

The Office of Academic Computing provides web space on FSU web servers for individual student web sites and for student organization web sites.

An automated process allows students and student organizations to reserve their own web space on FSU servers. Students can register for an individual account at http://personal.frostburg.edu, and student organizations can register at http://organizations.frostburg.edu.

Note: Student organizations must have an FSU e-mail address before attempting to register a student organization site. Students can contact the Help Desk to request an organization e-mail.

Student Web Publisher Responsibilities
Student organization and student personal pages must adhere to all FSU policies and specifications. Visit the Web-Related Policies page for more information. In addition, students must adhere to standards of group and personal conduct which are discussed in the Policy Statements Booklet for Students, Faculty and Staff.

Students may not publish information on the World Wide Web that is prohibited by state or federal laws and regulations, or disallowed by FSU policies and agreements, licenses, contracts, or copyrights.
