Distance Learning

The Ort Library is proud to extend services to students, faculty and staff that support FSU's online learning and distance education initiatives.

Remote Access for Library Services

If you are a student, faculty member or staff member on campus, you need your FSU ID card with the 14-digit barcode for library services. You can obtain your ID card from the ID office in Chesapeake Hall. After you obtain your card, stop by the Library Circulation Desk to activate it for library services.

If you are a student enrolling in only online courses who lives outside the Frostburg area, you may obtain your 14 digit barcode for library services by contacting the ID office at 301-687-4196 and providing your seven-digit student ID number. After obtaining your barcode number, please call the Library Circulation Desk at 301-687-4395 for activation.
