FSU’s Office of Accessibility and Learning is dedicated to ensuring every student's success throughout their college journey. In collaboration with Admissions and the Center for Academic Advising and Retention (CAAR), we provide a comprehensive onboarding process that includes assessing and placing students at appropriate math and language levels. We prioritize a student's accessibility needs, offering tailored services to meet diverse needs and ensure an inclusive learning environment. Our Tutoring Center provides assistance across various lower-level subjects, while our academic skills development workshops empower students to hone their study skills, time and workload management, and critical thinking abilities. Together, these resources foster a supportive and enriching educational experience for all students.

Academic Skills Support
Working with students at FSU on academic skills is essential for their success and growth. The university's approach includes targeted support in language skills, such as writing, reading comprehension, and critical thinking, through a specialized English 101 course. This ensures they meet academic expectations effectively.
Additionally, FSU's Office of Accessibility and Learning provides study skills assistance, focusing on one-on-one sessions that focus not only on content tutoring but also on improving notetaking, time management, textbook reading, and test-taking strategies. Peer tutors guide students, helping them develop an individualized learning approach that enhances their academic performance and builds confidence in their abilities. This collaborative effort equips students with vital skills for achieving academic excellence and lifelong learning.
